Alma de Autor Mencia comes from our vineyard next to the winery. Planted in 1970 on trellises, the vineyard is at its peak of ripeness and experience for producing great aging wines.
The grape harvest is carried out manually with double selection of bunches, in the vineyard and in the winery. The winemaking process begins with temperature-controlled maceration prior to fermentation in stainless steel at 27°C. Malolactic fermentation then takes place in the tank and is subsequently aged in second- and third-year French and American oak barrels for 12 months. The wine then rests in the bottle for 12 months before being released.
It pairs perfectly with red meats, all types of cheeses, and even fatty fish.
Limited production of 6,660 numbered bottles.
